You simply waste a whole lot of time waiting for the right moment or that perfect moment. Every day I trying harder than the last to NOT think I can control the things I, in actuality, can’t. So I stop waiting and I just GO! I just DO it! Because I know there are two littles who are watching my every move and who I ultimately start my day and end my doing everything for. They are the ones I show up for and the ones I will leave a legacy for. The one’s that one day will say to people “She is Incredible – that’s my Mom.”

Every ounce of my blood, sweat and tears are for them and my family. But they will be the ones that will hear my voice telling them they are braver than they believe, stronger than they seem, and smarter than they think. They also know that CAN’T is not in their vocabulary and that failing only happens when they give up and quit. But the most important thing I will remind them is, I am always by their side cheering them on, pushing them forward and reminding them to be exceptional and never settle for anything less.

The Thirsty Maiden Café
Such an adorable little spot.

I sit here sipping my latte reflecting on my day, and thinking to myself “this is my life!” I am exactly where I need to be, where I am suppose to be…this is what I was created to do!

Everyday my day starts at 6am, TJ leaves the house at 5am for the gym, boys are in their usual spot all cuddled up on the couch watching their fave TV series and I go down to my office and begin my morning routine. I opened my journal and just started writing.

Now, I know that may sound silly to some, but this is really where self-talk comes into play. This is where I keep my thoughts in check. By every morning writing down all the things in my life that I am so grateful for and really put a focus on thinking positively bravely. It really puts so much thought into what I currently have in my life and being super clear on what I want to pursue in my life, what my passions are. Rather than focussing on where I wished or hoped I would be! Let’s be real, this is where that learning to “NOT think I can control the things I, in actuality, can’t” thing I mentioned above comes in… So I put my energy in reflecting on all things that truly matter to me. All the things that serve me and feed my soul. It’s so peaceful and let’s be honest! It is straight up some ME time! This is truly the time that I use to check myself. Really think about where my mind is at that given moment and get it in check if it needs to be. This is where I ask God to show me the way. Regardless of the emotion I am feeling at that moment, I am asking God the same thing, “Lord, show me the way.”

It is truly such an empowering routine, I highly recommend you do the same!

What practices do you do to keep your mind in check? Are you fully aware of your thoughts? What actions will you take?
